Job Description

Verilogue is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic language and discourse specialist to join our team of healthcare communication experts. The ideal candidate will have advanced training in interactional sociolinguistics, such as conversation analysis, narrative analysis, ethnographic methods, and sociolinguistic fieldwork. The ability to effectively communicate research insights to internal teams and clients, while balancing academic theory and business practicality, is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct in-depth analyses of conversations between healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Synthesize linguistic patterns into and meaningful insights for client marketing research teams.
  • Advocate research findings to internal and client audiences through comprehensive reports (PowerPoint) and engaging presentations.
  • Mentor junior researchers and guide their analytical and professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate linguistic insights into broader business strategies.

Qualifications

  • MA/MS or PhD degree in linguistics or related fields with advanced coursework in linguistics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a business environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading research projects and teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced organizational skills to address and manage complex research projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry or specific health-related conditions.
  • Proven organizational and project management skills.
  • Significant research experience using sociolinguistic principles.
