Job Description

The VP, Media (Social) provides strategic thought leadership and account leadership for client accounts and team and oversees a portfolio of client work and the teams across that work.

Responsibilities:

  • Counsel clients on best practices incorporating paid social into an overall social strategy
  • Display an in-depth understanding of the functionality, strategies behind social media driven campaigns and best practices of all major social platforms including: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, etc. 
  • Cultivate and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and trends to guide account teams and continue to be a leader in the space; contribute as a thought leader on social landscape, best practices, and cultural happenings across platforms
  • Ability to provide competitive insights, drive results, enhance performance and inform future content strategy
  • Work with Directors/ADs to enhance reporting and strategy deliverables – facilitating workshops and ensuring outputs are best in class
  • Build up rapport and trust with clients to foster growth within the partnership 
  • Manage and oversee a team of junior level strategists; direct the execution of social media analytics, content development and distribution, paid promotions and results reporting

Qualifications

  • 12-15 years of Paid Social and digital experience at an interactive, advertising, public relations/communications, or other marketing agency 
  • A creative, entrepreneurial spirit who is self-motivated and constantly seeking out and identifying opportunities to drive the business forward without being told when and what to do
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work well in a team environment with a proven track record in driving partnerships and relationships with internal marketing functions / partners, as well as synergies and collaboration across integrated marketing teams.
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and establish process and structure to help the team operate more effectively and efficiently
  • Extensive experience managing books of business with a record of driving strong business growth
  • Superior analytics skills with deep understanding of sophisticated models and methodologies for measuring success as well as ability to quickly extract key insights from performance report outs
  • Ability to mentor and grow junior team members

Compensation Range: $143,000-225,000This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
